The main benefit is the bi-weekly 90 minute phone callwhere you'll have a unique opportunity to share your most recent stories & discoveries.
During these 'hot-seat' sessions - I use the art of questioning to pull out new insights and learnings. These sessions are deeply transformative for the person being interviewed, and highly instructive for everyone listening.
You also get unlimited email access to me. Send me your questions, completed journals, and tell me your challenges to get custom-tailored responses.
It's a great community learning experience for beginners and more advanced trackers/naturalists who want to go deep into nature study.

Who Is It For?
Naturalists - Transform the way you look at nature. Learn to read nature like a book. Build your identification skills with plants, trees, birds. Read the forest ecology through four seasons. Practice tools for journaling and submit your finished work for feedback.
Wildlife Trackers - Come hone your skills with the art and science oftracking. Tracking is all about finding sign of animals and interpreting their behaviour. I can help you build a deeply intuitive understanding of how your local wildlife interacts with the landscape.
Bird Language Practitioners - One of my greatest passions is helping people to understand the world of bird language. I can help you decode the alarm system of nature, become tuned to "invisible" animal movements, and hide your own bird alarm signature.
Survival Practitioners - What's the only survival tool you can never break or lose? It's your own intuition & situational awareness! Survival is about lost-proofing yourself, knowing which plants & herbs are edible, where to build your shelter, predicting weather patterns. These are skills I can help you apply.
Mentors & Educators - One of the secret benefits of being mentored in nature awareness is that you will also learn to mentor others. You'll experience the art of questioning, emergent curriculum, and passion-based learning. Discover how to bring an invisible culture of nature connection to your local community.
Parents - Your children will model their behaviour, ideas and values on you. The more connection you have to nature, the more they will pick it up. You'll learn strategies for directly & indirectly encouraging a more respectful relationship to the natural world. Nurture their curiosity, joy for learning & critical thinking skills.
Land Stewards & Caretakers - Gardeners & farmersneed some of the deepest land-based knowledge of all people. I can help you apply the awareness & observation principles to engineering regenerative, healthy landscapes that serve humans and animals alike.
How To Get Started?
Please fill out the form below to get started. I look forward to welcoming you into my international naturalist family :-)
"Brian's experience is rich and diverse, and knows when to feed you that nugget of info to keep you stoked, or that question that throws you further down the rabbit hole. He has helped me use birds as a mirror to my relationship dynamics. So that going into the natural world is richer in teachers who guide me to my truth, my strength." - Steve Leckman (Coordinator, Guide, Nature connection work)
"You have an incredible ability to listen and ask really good questions! You also really put your time in, you speak from lots of experience. You have filled in my gaps and asked me questions that I couldn't not go out and find the answers." - Michaela Macdonald (Nature Mentoring Participant)
“One on one, Brian is thoughtful. He cares. He listens with intention. He asks the sensory expanding questions, the questions that stretch me. It never ends. Every moment is an opportunity to learn, engage your senses, and connect to the stories that are always happening out there. We can observe these stories anywhere- in open spaces and in the city.” - Eric Himelfarb (Farmer, Land Steward, Nature Connection Mentoring)
“The natural world is a big place; Brian opens up that big world and offers a number of paths through an often dense forest of information by getting to know each individual he works with, that goes for both his subject matter in the wilderness, and the people he would like to connect to it.” - Liz Crain (Land Steward)
