Action Steps: Cluster Tracking
Today's exercise is really simple. Rather than relying on just one sound or behavior to indicate alarm, we need to start looking for clusters of activity that occur simultaneously or in close sequence. Anytime you notice what seems to be an alarm, practice expanding your awareness outwards and pay attention for what else is happening in the area...
1. Is this alarm linked with anything else? 2. Are there other birds/species also responding to this same situation?
Working with 'cluster tracking' in this way will help you develop much greater certainty about the routine alarm patterns happening in your area.
